I think at the time Ruby sang that song, everyone knew it was for you, I just have to say though , in the photo section when I looked through it I would have said it was our Tim with Ruby, you could never deny him, side by side you would have passed for twins.

Ruby's brother, the late Jack Murray was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty The Queen for his work in the RAF evacuating the British from Cyprus, after leaving the RAF, he went on to be a Diplomatic Courier for the Queen, he went all over the world in the service of his country.

I am Ruby's nephew, my brother Ken is the mystery man in the photo section, my mother was Ruby's sister Pat and as for another clue, my grandfather was known as Big Dan(Ruby's Father).

The ad was for toilet rolls, but Ruby did not make any money from it, the ad was stopped when her management demanded payment for the use of her record.

Softly Softly was used as the theme tune for an advertising campaign and looked like it could have done well for Ruby as most records used for television adverts do, but it only ran for a short time. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PRODUCT WAS?

In the early days Ruby had a favorite song that she sang for Bernie, also one that was for her Dad, name the two songs.
