Hi Timmer,
There is another version of this song by another Irish singer Maisie McDaniel and you will hear that you have got the word right as she also sings JOY
Hope this has been helpful

Re: The Old Pig-Sty

This song was written by Eilish Boland......She was born in Doonaree on the 10/8/1917 and died on the 7/2/1970

She also wrote the song Doonaree a lovely song that was also recorded by Ruby

Hi Timmer,. In 1963 Ruby released a single called "I'll Walk The Rest Of The Way".......This was the A side of the record........The B side was I'm In Love With The Boy Next Door",she again sang this recording but the credits to the song are given to R.Murray and C Keyes so I would think that there ...

Re: The Humour Is on Me Now

Hello Timmer and Bernie,
"The Humour Is On Me Now" As we all know humour is classed as funny but in the case of the song it means a state of the mind or mood and the song indicates that Ruby is now ready to take a husband.
I have never heard your saying before Bernie but love it.

Take Care
