Site update
Hello, everyone! I hope this message finds you well! The Ruby Murray website has been updated. There were two changes. An SSL certificate has been added. The site should now only be accessible with HTTPS: and show a green padlock in the browser. This means that your login credentials and use of the ...
Re: Site info
Thanks, all!
I foresee no need to trim the file library, although the content could be be organized with a more modern system. That will go on the "things to do" list after the file library has been restored. We should have the room to restore every single file.

Re: Site info
That's all exactly correct! Well done. :) The file library should work out just fine. I hope to have it fully restored by the weekend. I happened to see there were some exciting gems in there! I apologize the move took so long. Hopefully we won't have to go through something like that again for a lo...
Re: Site Down
Thanks for the nice thoughts.
The site wasn't "down" but I did inadvertently block an IP address in the fight against spam that affected users in the United Kingdom, France and Portugal. I have corrected that error.
My apologies for any inconvenience.
The fight goes on!

Gerald has done an admirable job! It's an endless fight. Hopefully I'll be able to take some of the load off by blocking some of the sources. I'm going to try!

File library
Hi all, There was a bug in the file library that prevented new uploads from being saved. This bug was related to the server change. Unfortunately six uploads that took place following the server change were not saved and are missing. If you still have the files they can be re-uploaded now. I apologi...

Re: Forum software change
I agree. The new member situation is heartbreaking. I will be making a change in a few minutes that will again allow members to self-register. One of those spam prevention tools where you have to entered fuzzy words will be used to try to control spam. The tool also has an audio component for the si...

Re: Forums fixed
There may be one peculiarity with the forums regarding passwords. The makers of the phpBB forum software changed the way passwords are encrypted. For those of us who had passwords prior to the change, sometimes the software won't let us log in. The solution is to use the site's "forgot password" fun...
Re: Uploading
That's a separate issue from the forums, but both are related to the server change. It shouldn't be that hard to fix. I'll let you know as soon as it is done.

Forums fixed
Hello everyone! This is a test post and an update that the Ruby Murray forums should now be fixed. If you can read this then it must have worked. I sincerely apologize to everyone for the delay and I hope that the downtime hasn't damaged the sense of family in our special community here. If this wor...

Re: System downtime
Excellent! It is always a scary time changing things that already work. Or like my dad used to say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
But this change was necessary and will help ensure that RubyMurray.org stays online for the foreseeable future!
Warmest regards,
