Re: Hello

http://www.ovguide.com/tv/wpc_56.htm Apparently you can watch the episode online....not sure if there is a catch though. Re: Ruby's Fontana Tracks

I am convinced that efforts should continue to get publicity about Ruby ....eg five singles in the charts top 20 in 1955 etc .....on a TV or radio show of some kind in order to bring her to the attention of a wider audience. I know this has been tried and disappointment sets in but it needs to conti...

Re: It's a Great Day For the Irish

You could even try writing to the producer of the BBC Four 'Legends' series (just featured Doris Day). Ruby's 5 chart successes in 1955 may be a suitable subject. I suspect if you phone the BBC they will give you the contact address etc or just write c/o BBC Channel Four.

Re: It's a Great Day For the Irish

You have done well so lets live in hope...even if nothing comes of it it's in the system and could be picked up later. Keep the pressure on with any showbiz contacts you have in radio expat shows in Spain and maybe write to music press etc...
Cheers

By the way Bernie did you read the last post of mine about the direct e mail for The One Show producer or do you feel its not worthwhile pursuing it?

Re: interesting links

I hope they give your offer consideration - its more than deserved. Well done for being proactive.

Also generally in posting 'links' its hard to know whats already known to long standing members etc but hope at least some of the pictures and comments are of interest.

Abbey Road..... a new book with Ruby references

There is a new book out which contains references to Ruby's career and her recordings at Abbey Road and also a couple of pictures I believe. http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Z5sI04YpV3QC&pg=PA66&lpg=PA66&dq=ruby+murray+new+musical+express&source=bl&ots=rCct3nG4o2&sig=g8VIfxkLbFDVbXF8ulT3qVrHKjE&hl...

Re: interesting links

Yes I agree that one of the comments is a bit cheeky but as Oscar Wilde said the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about! It shows that positive or negative (and its mostly positive) Ruby is still talked about.... and long may it continue. I still feel strongly that Ruby's...
