Renewed Interest in Ruby
I have known for quite some time that moves are afoot in Belfast to possibly staging a play on Ruby's life. It is planned to be a one act play using one actor (female) playing the part of Ruby. Nothing has yet been finalized but plans are slowly unravelling for the play to be staged at some kind of ...

Re: New home page
I would like to echo Timmer's remarks regarding the new Home Page, it's brilliant. I sincerely hope that other members will comment on the change and recognize the work that Gerald has put into it's creation. Well done Gerald!

Ruby... My Precious Gem
Friends/Fans Quite some time ago the publisher of my book left the publishing business for another venture. As a consequence copies of my book came to an end. When this happened I turned to Kindle and had it converted. This is old news but should anyone consider Kindle as an alternative the book is ...

Re: Ruby - 21st Anniversary
I think the image we all have of RUBY in our minds is the all important one. That is the way I shall always remember Ruby, she was, and will always be, a very beautiful and attractive young woman.

Thank you Henry . . .
I am hoping that the roses I placed on Ruby's grave lasted until the 16th. I find it quite unbelievable that Ruby passed away 20yrs ago. A very sad day indeed . . .

Re: Missing Fontana Masters
I am not aware of any more tracks coming to light. I am amazed by the amount of data there currently is on Ruby's recordings on the Internet - long may it continue. May I take this opportunity to wish all Friends/Fans a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. . . . . Incid...
Re: youtube
I'm not too sure but the track may have been recorded when Ruby appeared at The New Cresta Cabaret Restaurant . . . . . I see that you (Gerald) have changed to The Winter Scene - Quite appropriate. I would like to think that the change will bring comments from other Friends/Fans.....

Re: Plaque Unveiling Confirmed
The THE BLUE PLAQUE situation is still dragging on. There is still a financial legal battle going on between the local Council and the Developers. The area in 'THE VILLAGE' -, where Ruby was born and raised, was completely demolished and the Developers have now completed an entirely new residential ...

Re: Rubys Fontana Records
Hello Martin, The recording studios were -Philips/Fontana studios. They were in the Bayswater area. Interestingly they went to the trouble to create a mood with decor and lighting, the only studios I ever came across that did this. Their equipment was first class. For anyone interested, I have estab...

Re: Ruby's grave
I'm delighted to report that I have managed to carry out the return trip to Torquay to once again attend to a clean-up operation of Ruby's grave. My kind hearted friend Keith Seeley volunteered to drive me there and back in his car. In fact he also carried out all the clean up needed. Seeing as I am...

Re: Ruby's grave
I have discovered that there is a system whereby I can book into another Residental Home belonging to the same National Company as the one I am currently living in and use their Guest room at a nominal fee . This is extremely helpful and cuts out Hotel costs which is extremely helpful. By travelling...

Re: Ruby's grave
I am hopeful of being able to make the return journey to Torquay to tend Ruby's grave. My very good friend - Keith Seeley - has offered to drive me there again and I have provisionally booked overnight accommodation on Sunday Dec, 3rd. I am praying for good weather and traffic conditions.
