Hello, Bernie! I too had remembered Ruby's and your Golden Wedding Anniversary, and entered the date in my diary at the beginning of the year, to be sure of sending you greetings and kindest thoughts on this special day. What a surprise - not to say shock! - I got on reading the front page headline ...

Tenth Anniversary

A few days early, as I have a very full programme of Birthday and Christmas entertainments right over this weekend... Of course we will all be remembering dear Ruby on Sunday, the tenth anniversary of her death. I find it so difficuolt to believe that a decade has passed since that sad day when she ...

I didn't realize that posting of teasers was by invitation and strictly in turn, so I am afraid I have probably been out of order on more than one occasion - apologies. Also, I don't understand anything about red and yellow cards. Should I? Have I missed something?

Well done, gentlemen! Both answers acceptable, as 'One' certainly can be counted as a number, although of course it is not used as such in this title - I wondered who would spot that! Am back from Spain now - sorry I didn't manage to get to see Bernie; I was working near Madrid.

Challenge!

Think of all Ruby's recorded song titles which contain a number; add the numbers up - what is the answer?
(N.B. Cardinal numbers only (e.g. one, two, three...), NOT ordinals (e.g. first, second, third...).)

Softly, Softly / Pianissimo: they mean much the same thing.
Evermore / Forever: ditto
Bambino / Little One: ditto
Will return if I think of any more,

Belfast-related Teaser

Well done, Gerald! I'll Remember Today! is exactly what I said to the Lord Mayor at the end of my brief talk with him. It was truly not until the words had just left my mouth that I realized what I had said, and that it was the title of one of Ruby's songs - one of my favourites, incidentally, as it...

Belfast-related Teaser

Nice to hear from you, Gerald, and so nice to meet you and the others in Belfast; I still haven't got round to sending my photographs, including a good one of us having coffee with Bernie just along from the Ulster Hall. I must say I'm delighted to have set a teaser which has lasted longer than half...
