Total Viewers.

Hello Friends,

I assume that most friends/fans have noticed that the listing of track titles placed by John K has now been viewed over 400 times. It proves that the Ruby Murray website has grown immensely during this anniversary year, quite an achievement.

Gerald's siting.

Hello Friends, Other than Gerald's siting in the H.M.V. record shop of the new boxed set, has anyone else seen, or heard, anything about the newly released CDs? Has anyone had a response to a request that they might have submitted? As I have explained previously, due to the large number of record re...

Airtime,

Hello Friends, I have just had a very pleasant visit from Gerald (Lawrence). We both enjoyed a number of days going through photos, memorabilia, and playing records whilst reminiscing about days gone by, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Amongst the topics that we discussed was 'airtime' for Ruby's...

The Belfast Plaque,

Gerald, I really don't mind being frustrated just as long as the project is completed and the plaque is installed. I did take up the subject of wording but it was so long ago I will have to look back through the email file to remind myself what the outcome was. We all agreed that the wording would n...

The Belfast Plaque News

Friends. When posting a message concerning the new viewer. I went on to include news of the Belfast Plaque foolishly not thinking that I was burying the Belfast topic under the same heading. Please turn to 'Welcome Viewer' for the very latest from Belfast City Council, it's very interesting. Adios A...

A Welcome Viewer.

Friends, I see that the latest viewer to register on to the website is a Northamptonian, welcome my friend. I hope that you will stay around and enjoy all the data concerning Ruby. Because we lived in the village of Wootton, on the outskirts of the town, for many years, Ruby can qualify as being hal...

The Flaws

Brian (and Gerald), What my simple mind was trying to say is summed up in the last sentence of Gerald's remarks. That is, - When the remake was in the making - that is when the fader must have been inadvertantly left down. not on the original recording. When they go back to a master take they have t...

The Flaws.

Brian,

You see, I said I wasn't technical. I will add a couple of things though. On my sound system, if I add a stinch coombers gangling iron and adjust the sidewinders girdling pin I get perfect reproduction, but only when there an 'R' in the month. - Bye.

Sweetheart ....

Gerald, I am by no means technical when it comes to electronics but with my non technical mind might I suggest something that Gerald might just simply shoot down. In the studio, each section of the orchestra is individually miked up, as are the vocals, whether they be single vocals or group vocals. ...

Air Time.

Friends, I am still waiting to hear from EMI about what air time has been negotiated for the new CDs. Has anyone heard any of the tracks being played on the air? I have seccured plenty of exposure here on the coast of Spain but mainland Britain is far more important. Since leaving to live here in Sp...

So few people know the intimate details of our marriage, in particular what 'our song' was George, but hopefully one day they will be able to read all about it.

Dating Unreleased Tracks

Gerald, 'If I Were a Blackbird' and "Isle Of Innisfree' I am somewhat puzzled on the question of dates. After our marriage I took Ruby to the studio every time for recording sessions and I cannot recall her recording either track. At the end of December '58/59, I would have been in pantomime in Wolv...
