Well done John and Ralph. I too had captured about 10 pics, but I can't compete with yours which look really great.

Did you notice that the time above the webcam image was 12.00. I was sure that Belfast was the same as mainland uk time, so I guess whoever looks after the camera forgot to move the clock on to BST.

Anyway, I was really pleased to see you all - and now look forward to seeing the close-ups that I could see were being taken.

Well done Bernie and Gerald for planning the occasion, and I'm sure you will soon be posting photographs of the actual plaque.

I received a private message from Ralph Lortie, following my earlier posting on this thread, suggesting I upload pics that I'd captured from the webcam. Thanks for the suggestion Ralph. In response I've now added just one to the photo library. The rest are not much different from yours and John's, and I think we'll soon be seeing some nice close-ups from those of you who were down there on the spot.

It was good, by the way, to see that the sun came out for this special day.

Here is the first photograph taken of The Gang at City Hall (good job the "troubles" are over, or we might have got arrested with that name!). This was taken by my wife Rosemary, which is why she does not appear in it.
