Ruby's Birthday

Today is the anniversary date of Ruby's birthday. My son Tim is acting for me by placing some roses on Ruby's resting place today. Ruby would have been 79yrs. I still miss her very much but I do have her portrait proudly displayed on the wall in front of me as I sit at my computer, she smiles down at me every day.

I am pleased that the annual ritual of placing flowers will carry on this year.
79 years - it doesn't seem long ago that there was this shy young girl of just 19 appearing on Quite Contrary singing so beautifully. Or maybe I am just getting old and sentimental!
