Ruby's Birthday Today!

Post by Gerald Lawrence »

Just remembering that it would have been Ruby's 81st Birthday today. Sadly she is no longer with us, but we can go on remembering her through this website, thanks to Timmer and the fans who post here, and through the legacy of her lovely recordings.

Friends and fans,
Bernie has emailed me to explain why he did not post a message relating to Rubys birthday on the 29th March 2016.

At the moment Bernie is having problems with his computer and finds himself locked out of the website due to password problems.......He hopes to have the matter resolved fairly quickly.

Bernies message.

Loving memories of a beautiful person who would have been 81 on the 29th March 2016
You are sadly missed
Love Bernie
Graham

Fans/Friends,

At last, with the help of Gerald I can now get back into the website and start to post. Firstly, my thanks to Graham for posting a message on my behalf, his help eased my conscience about not being able post on the day Ruby's birthday is celebrated - Thank you Graham.

Thankfully all is now well with the world today.

Kindest regards to all Fans/Friends. Bernie.

Bernie's password problem was that he was suddenly asked for it on Login and couldn't remember it! :( We have all been there at some time.

If you forget your password and keep typing in different ones to try and guess what it was, you get a maximum of 5 attempts. After this, you are locked out and even if you then remember it, or if I change it for you, you will be asked to input the answer to a question which only I know when you next try to Login. I had forgotten this was the procedure, and being away from home for a funeral in County Durham, I was not able to help until yesterday.

If you do forget your password, then don't keep trying but instead click on the "I Forgot My Password" link and that should help you to sort it out. [I haven't needed to try this, so you may be the first!]

All's well that ends well, good to see you back again Bernie.

Today is Ruby's birth date March 29th. I find it very hard to believe that Ruby left us 20 years ago. I haven't given up on the Blue Plaque that Ruby qualifies for.

Of course I remembered Ruby on her Birthday, but could not get to a computer on Wednesday. I can't imagine Ruby at 82 - she will always seem young and attractive. Kind regards to Bernie and all, John from Norfolk.

Thank you John (Harris) for your posting remembering Ruby's Birthday. Incidentally, I still have a copy of a programme of the concert that Ruby did and you organised in Norfolk - light years ago.
