Tenth Anniversary

Post by John Harris »

A few days early, as I have a very full programme of Birthday and Christmas entertainments right over this weekend...

Of course we will all be remembering dear Ruby on Sunday, the tenth anniversary of her death. I find it so difficuolt to believe that a decade has passed since that sad day when she left us, missing my Birthday on the 16th by only just over an hour, as I have mentioned before.

I shall play my 'Tribute to Ruby Murray' at my party on Saturday, when my guests, being mostly older people nowadays, will join me in remembering Ruby with love and affection.

My special thoughts will be with Bernie, Julie and Tim on the 17th, and then - as I'm sure Ruby would have wished - the compliments of the forthcoming festive season to everyone.

With kindest regards from Norfolk,

John H.

For The 17th December 2006

Remembering Ruby today with great affection,it does not seem possible that ten years have gone by without her she will always be missed.

However what a wonderful year she has given to her many fans...

2006 saw the launch of the new book, the plaque unveiling in her hometown and the wonderful C.D "Anthology".

Her website continues to bring in interesting information on her life and I'm sure that 2007 will keep alive the memory of such a lovely person

God Bless Ruby.

Tenth Anniversary

Post by Bernie Burgess »

Hello Friends,

It's precisely 1 hour to the fateful time.

Please forgive me for expressing my feelings publicly.

They can be summed up in the words of a wonderful lyric to a song.

You'll never know just how much I miss you,
You'll never know just how much I care,
And if I tried I still couldn't hide my love for you;
You ought to know for didn't I tell you so
A million of more times?

You went away and my heart went with you,
I speak your name in my every prayer
And if there's some other way to prove that I love
I swear I don't know how.
You'll never know if you don't know now.

No matter what they tell us, no matter what they do.
No matter what they teach us, what we believe is true.
No matter what they call us, however they attack
No matter where they take us, we'll find our own way back.
I can't deny what I believe, I can't be what I'm not
I know our love's forever, I know, no matter what.

If only tears were laughter, If only night was day.
If only prayers were answered, then we would hear God say...
No matter what they tell you, no matter what they do
No matter what they teach you, what you believe is true
And I will keep you say safe and strong, and sheltered from the storm
No matter where it's barren, our dream is being born.

No matter who they follow, no matter where they lead.
No matter how they judge us, I'll be everyone you need.
No matter if the sun don't shine - or if the skies are blue,
No matter what the ending, my life began with you.
I can't deny what I believe, I can't be what I'm not
I know this loves' forever
I know .. no matter what.
