Yet again we have seen another year fly by and its that sad time of the year when Ruby died. 17th December 1996. After midnight here in NZ for most of the rest of the world. RIP dear Ruby. You are not forgotten. Thinking of Bernie and Julie and RIP Tim.

Always a sad time of the year for me because in 1996 a week after I had told my mother in hospital that Ruby had died, she herself passed away on Christmas Eve.

I still remember very well those Christmas days in the 50s when the loveliest present anybody could give me was the latest recording by Ruby. I still have the old 78 rpm recordings in my loft.

RIP Ruby, you are still very fondly remembered by your fans.

At this special time of year, it's always poignant to remember those who are no longer with us.
