Today-Two Tentative Teasers

Post by Bernie Burgess »

Hello Friends,

Some friends like them, whilst others are not so sure but seeing as it has been rather quiet on the Forum of late, methinks it is time to test your lyrical knowledge so I return once again to posting a couple of 'Teasers'. Due to the credit crunch the prize will have to tighten it's belt, like the rest of us. The winner's star can only be a silver one - sorry about that, sign of the times I'm afraid. I will keep both very simple. Here goes with the first one:=

1. - In which of Ruby's songs does she suggest how you can see how life should be? - simple eh?

2. - .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . what is the sigificance of a thousand summers? - equally simple?

My bet is that these two will only last one day but we will see.

Kindest regards, ADios Amigos. Bernie

"For a thousand summers, I will wait for you".

Hello Ralph,

I did say that it wouldn't last very long. Of course you are correct - "For a thousand summers, I will wait for you' . Now all you need to do Ralph is get the first one correct to qualify for the coveted, highly cherished, brilliantly polished, very much sort after, first prize, the SILVER star.

Kindest regards to you Ralph, - how is the weather?

Adioa Amigo. Bernie.

Hi Bernie,
I would think that the one Ralph can't get is "Through The Eyes Of A Child"

Take Care

Hi Graham,

Have you just given us the answer? You need to give the slower ones (me) more time! We are not as quick as you!

Martin ;-)

Hello Friends,

As I anticipated, the 'Teasers' only lasted just one day.

You are quite correct Graham "Through the Eyes of a Child' you can see how life should be.

The second one, solved by Ralph was For a thousand summers 'I Will Wait Fot You'

Well done both of you, my problem is how to split a sliver star in half???

If and when I post another 'Teaser' I will have to make it less easy - Sorry Martin.

Well I got the second one more or less straight away, by singing on from the words "a thousand summers" just like Ralph has written, but I was stuck on the first one. I could hear Ruby singing it, but just could not figure out the title. So two good ones Bernie, and both are lovely songs.
