Hullo. This is my first post and i look forward to "meeting" other Ruby fans.
It was during my National Service in 1954 that I heard her in what I think was her first TV broadcast. All the lads got a picture of her
and we went to see her In Coventry 1955.I remember well hearing her voice when it was announced...that was the voice of Ruby Murray who died yesterday .How sad. To night i played the clip on Youtube of Softy Softly and the memories flooded back. That voice. She truly was a great star
