The Snowy Home Page - has gone!

Post by Gerald Lawrence »

At this time of the year I am beginning to think about what the Home Page will look like when I change it, and start to think about its design. However, in view of the wintry weather that we are experiencing here all over the UK, I am inclined to leave the present one on for a little longer. I can't help from time to time sitting and watching how the snow builds up around Ruby's shoulders, and also falls between all the letters to make a pile starting at the bottom! Such a dreadful time-waster, so sorry for that! :D

Bernie has already given me a good idea for the change to the next one, which some of you will have seen before, but nevertheless I will update it to the present and upload it during next month when hopefully the snow will all have gone.

So keep watching when March starts!

Hello Gerald,

I am looking forward to seeing the next 'Home Page from you Gerald'. I am so pleased that you are thinking about incorporating a previous design but updating it because it is one that so completely relates to Ruby's world record breaking feat of 5 hit singles in the charts, all at the same time'.
Be assured Gerald that your outstanding technical work on the website is very much appreciated by all of us. long may it continue.

Adios Amigo. Bernie.

Spring is here! The snow has gone, and we can look forward to celebrating Saint Patrick's Day, the anniversary of Ruby's domination of the charts and of course her birthday.

The Home Page is at the request of Bernie, who told me that he liked very much the one which I did for the Golden Anniversary Year. I have tidied it up a bit, changed a few bits here and there, but basically it is the same one that appeared in Spring 2005.

Hello Friends,

I like the way Gerald has incorporated the five 'hits' and updated the overall page to good effect. Well done Gerald! As I pointed out previously, the five hit tracks are so very much wrapped up in Ruby's history so it's important to feature them prominently.

I have recently been grappling with an infection which has kept me 'occupied', for the want of a better expression. Hopefully a course of anti-biotic pills has taken care of everything and I will return to full health once again. Blood tests are being lined up but, like everywhere else, I must wait to get an appointment with a specialist.

Two very important dates are coming up, namely, St Patrick's Day and March 29th - Ruby's birthday, (as if I need to remind Ruby's fans/friends)

Adios Amigos. Bernie.

Just to keep the News page alive (because it goes a bit blank after 90 days) I have added a bit of information about the Spring 2009 one, in case you would like to have a look.

I hope the infection is clearing up, Bernie. We all wish you Get Well Soon.

HI Gerald,

Hi friends,

Hope everybody is well. Well done on the new home page Gerald. It looks really good. Nice to see 'Your favourite colleen' album sleeve, one of my favourites and also Ruby's chart entries. I am going to print it off for my scrap book. Thanks for all your efforts.

Martin. ;-)
