The Teaser. It's trifle early to give a clue- but - You cannot find the answer on the new release. That really narrows the whole thing down considerably.

That is brilliant, even if it's not the answer which I am sure it is, it a great answer. I was chatting to Gerald over the telephone and took the opportunity to submit my answer to him then - I was wrong.

Well done Graham! Have you been listening to all the CDs to get that one line? The line I actually had in mind was "no more memories" but the song title is absolutely spot on.

This was one of Ruby's songs that I had not heard until I started collecting again, a few years ago. When I first heard it, I was just stunned into silence by how lovely the song is, which I had heard before of course, but more particularly, how well Ruby sings it. Sandy had offered to let me have some of the songs from her copy of "Ruby" but this one would not play, so Bernie very kindly stepped in and sent me a tape of it from Spain.

The second bonus came when I realised that the LP "Ruby" was available in stereo, so I spent a bit of money on Ebay to get hold of a very good, clean copy of it, mainly for this one song. Now I could hear the arrangement for the orchestra more clearly, with the trumpet to the right just holding that one note right at the start. Brilliant!

And now we have it on CD - what more can I say, except a big Thank You to EMI.

Needless to say, this song has become one of my special favourites.

Gerald - the song dates originally from the late 1930s. Through the years it's been recorded by Flanagan & Allen, Al Bowlly, Jeri Southern, Tommy Dorsey and Frankie Laine - among others.
