This has been mentioned once or twice here, and I am going to draw your attention to it again. The interest for Ruby Murray fans starts on the 50s music page here: http://p197.ezboard.com/fwhirligigtvfrm ... 984.topic/.
This is a discussion on the Definitive UK charts, based on the New Musical Express. There are currently 8 pages of charts, with page 1 showing the start of UK charts in 1952, right up to page 8 with 1955. Naturally Ruby's name appears many times, starting with page 5. Towards the end, the lady who is doing the posting has given some very interesting statistics, and again you will find that, as you would expect, Ruby figures very prominently for 1955.
Do have a look, as I am sure you will find it interesting.
