Thank you Graham, you're a star! All of your listings in the last two posts have now been entered, and because of your help I have given you a credit on the Song List page. I have also put the date when it was last updated. Please send me some more whenever you have the time, because the list is becoming much more accurate than when I had finished my own collection - I never imagined there were so many opportunities to buy Ruby's songs on records and CDs.
Where no date is available (and I assume you have scrutinised closely all the covers, labels and inserts!) I have used a bit of detective work in order to try to position the release in the correct sequence in the table. The lack of a date is indicated by "..." in the tables. For example, the LP entitled "A Little Bit of Heaven" contains tracks from both "Endearing Young Charms" and "Irish and Proud of it" so the LP is not likely to have been released before either of these two. Similarly, some of the EMI CD numbers help to position the CD on the assumption that numbers were allocated in order of release date - this could be false, but in the absence of any positive identification it will have to do.
I notice also that EMI gave both a Music for Pleasure number (MFP) and one of their normal ones at a certain point in time. I have just used the MFP one, since we know they were owned by EMI.

Thank you again, Graham - all done and up to date as of today.
I hope you are enjoying looking out all your old records! I have managed to get some missing dates from a document from Brian Henson, and I have e-mailed him about one or two, but so far he has not replied. I am sure he will look in when he gets a moment.

I have entered the second and third into my table (but not uploaded them yet) but I would like to just check with you on the title of the first one. I already have one cassette called "The Very Best of Ruby Murray" (which I own, in fact). Also, the number OU 2084 for the LP is called "The Best of Ruby Murray", so I am wondering if this is the correct title.Graham Bunn wrote:Gerald,

I sincerely hope so - they will of course get a credit for having helped complete the list!I think I am almost at the end of my collection now Gerald I do hope if other fans have recordings that are not listed that they will post them for you.

Hello Gerald,
My loft ladder has never had so much use.......I have been up in the attic again to check on the tape "The Best Of Ruby Murray"
The LP reads OU 2084 released on One Up
The Tape reads TC OU 2084 released on One Up
I also have the tape The Very Best Of Ruby Murray and it is correctly shown as TC MFP 41 5444 4
Hope that this helps
Best Wishes

I hope I am not to be charged for any wear and tear on people's loft ladders!
Thank you both for that confirmation - I have now added in all the new titles of the latest compilations that you have given me. I have also had some corrected dates from Brian for the STAL Talisman series, which have now been added, plus a new one -Talisman STAL 6024 was a budget re-issue of the St. Patrick's Day LP.
Please keep them coming - I am certain there are still some more that we don't yet have on the list.

The New Song List page
I have for the moment done all that I now intend to do on the New Song List page. I have searched the internet for more titles, and found a few more. There are still some unknown release dates, numbers and listings based on some information in our library, but until somebody tells me what they are, I can do no more.
I have also decided to stop putting on the list CD compilations where Ruby sings just one or two songs. Only today I had through the post a brochure from Music and Memories in which no less than five new CDs each feature one of Ruby's recordings. While it is good to know that the producers think it is still worth including one of her songs, it doesn't really add much to the table.
For information, the five are:
Fifties No. 1s - Softly Softly
Remember When - Let Me Go Lover
Memory Lane - Heartbeat
Memories Are Made of This - Danny Boy
Sweethearts and Heartthrobs of the 50s (I like this title!) - Softly Softly
So, my thanks again to Brian and Graham for helping me with this mammoth task.
