A Musical Teaser.
Hello Friends,
Here is a teaser for all 50s. music lovers.
Whilst listening to the Golden Anniversary Collection, I heard a very short phrase from a Nat 'King" Cole arrangement which was cleverly woven in to one of Ruby's Big Five hits. Can anyone tell me what the song was that the phrase came from and which of Ruby's songs it can be heard.
I have already picked out the person that I think we be able to spot it and name it. I will let you all know if I was correct.

Hello John,
Sorry, I didn't hear this particular musical phrase in "Let Me Go Lover".
I'll wait to see whether any more answers are sent in before revealing the phrase and where it can be heard. One more hint, it's very short and it comes in a musical passage where there is no vocal from Ruby.

Gerald.
I was right, I knew that you would come up with the answer. For the benefit of other viewers, you will have to be a little more specific with your answer.

You are playing cat and mouse Gerald.
I will give another clue for those who are still scratching their heads. The buildings close to the river that you mentioned Gerald could never stand upside down.

Friends,
I think that I ought to add that the clues that I have given refer to the words in the hidden phrase and not the title of the song, which is what we are after.

Hello John.
10 out of 10. Go straight to the top of the class.
I have just learned a good lesson, - never tangle with true Ruby Murray fans.
On 2nd thoughts, I might just come up with a difficult one.

Phew, glad that's over!
Was I the cat or the mouse? Well, when I was working, I was known as Gerry, and when a friend introduced me to his five-year old daughter by that name, she asked "if you are Gerry, where is Tom?" So I guess that makes me the mouse - pass the cheese.
I always liked Dickie Valentine singing "You Belong To Me".

Sleepless Nights
Bernie and Gerald,
Do you realise that you have given me sleepless nights trying to solve this problem.
I think John is to be congratulated upon his skills in solving the musical quiz.
Did Geralds clues help?
I was looking for the connection with Nat King Cole and Dickie Valentine but to be quite honest I have not heard either artist sing this song if you had said Jo Stafford that would have been the artist I would have associated with the song "You Belong To Me".
However It was good fun even though I was completly baffled
Best Wishes

Yes Graham, both Geralds and Bernies clues helped but it was Bernies clue about not being able to stand upside down that was the giveaway.
I wasn't sure either about Nat Cole or Dickie Valentine but once I had the song it was just a case of listening through a few times till it clicked.
Bye the way, Bernie didn't say what the prize was -------!
